Based in the Minneapolis area, Minnehaha Equity invests in growing businesses where our hands-on experience with online marketing and operations can help influence the outcome.
Our founder, David Shuler, has worked with hundreds of companies over his 20+ years career as an investor in, advisor to, or operator of lower middle market businesses.
We have managed companies through rapid growth and turnarounds, through all economic cycles, across multiple industries, and from "cradle to grave" (i.e. investment to exit).
We invest our own capital in transactions, along with capital from family offices, HNW and institutional investors.
OUR FOUNDER
Our founding partner, David Shuler, is a 20+ year veteran of the lower middle market, having completed stints as a capital provider, independent sponsor, investment banker, and owner/operator.
David served as Interim CEO of our portfolio company, Snipers Edge Hockey, before returning to a board level role. Prior to launching Minnehaha in 2020, David spent 14+ years at Northstar Capital where he was a partner. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker with Lazard Middle Market and Dougherty & Company.
David has a BA from the University of Minnesota, and MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
When not working, David enjoys family time, coaching, guitar, tennis and hockey. He is based in the greater Minneapolis area.
